Cancellations, Refunds & Returns Policy
Last updated: October 26, 2026
This policy explains how cancellations, refunds, and returns are handled for AutoLantic sourcing, brokerage, inspection coordination, vehicle purchases, automotive parts, shipping, and related services.
Because AutoLantic sources vehicles and parts according to individual customer requirements, eligibility for cancellation, refund, or return depends on the stage of the transaction, work already performed, third-party commitments, and the terms disclosed in the customer’s quotation or agreement.
Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights provided by applicable law.
Before You Approve a Purchase
Submitting an inquiry or requesting a quotation does not obligate you to complete a purchase.
Before committing customer funds to a vehicle, part, inspection, shipping service, or other third-party expense, AutoLantic will provide the material information reasonably available and obtain the customer’s authorization according to the applicable quotation or agreement.
Customers should carefully review specifications, photographs, inspection information, estimated costs, delivery expectations, and stated limitations before approving a transaction.
Cancelling a Sourcing Request
A customer may request cancellation before AutoLantic commits funds to a seller or third-party service provider.
If no paid work has begun and no cost has been incurred, amounts received may be refundable, subject to the applicable quotation, payment-processing charges permitted by law, and any written agreement with the customer.
Once sourcing, research, verification, negotiation, inspection coordination, documentation, or another agreed service has begun, AutoLantic may retain the portion of the service fee attributable to work already performed.
Any unused customer funds remaining after permitted fees and incurred costs are deducted will be returned to the customer.
Deposits and Advance Payments
The purpose and refund status of every deposit or advance payment should be stated in the relevant quotation, invoice, or written agreement.
A deposit may become partially or fully non-refundable after AutoLantic, with the customer’s authorization:
- Begins substantial sourcing or brokerage work
- Pays an inspection or verification provider
- Reserves or purchases a vehicle or part
- Pays a seller, auction, dealer, carrier, warehouse, or documentation provider
- Incurs banking, payment-processing, transportation, or administrative charges
- Makes another transaction-specific commitment that cannot reasonably be reversed
AutoLantic will not describe a payment as non-refundable without disclosing that condition before the customer makes the payment.
Sourcing and Brokerage Service Fees
Sourcing and brokerage fees compensate AutoLantic for professional work, including research, seller communication, negotiation, verification coordination, transaction support, and related services.
A service fee becomes earned as the agreed work is performed. If a customer cancels after work begins, any refund will be calculated according to the completed work, incurred expenses, and applicable written agreement.
If AutoLantic cannot provide an agreed service and no acceptable alternative is approved, the unearned portion of the service fee will be refunded.
Vehicle Purchases
Vehicles sourced for customers are ordinarily selected and purchased according to the customer’s stated requirements and authorization.
After a customer approves a vehicle and funds have been committed to the seller, auction, dealer, or other provider, cancellation may no longer be possible. Vehicle purchases are generally not returnable to AutoLantic merely because the customer changes their mind.
Any cancellation, return, repair, replacement, warranty, or refund available for a vehicle will depend on:
- The seller’s or auction’s terms
- The vehicle’s disclosed condition
- Any applicable warranty
- The inspection arrangement
- The governing purchase documents
- Applicable law
AutoLantic will assist the customer in communicating a legitimate claim to the responsible seller or service provider but cannot promise a remedy that the seller, provider, insurer, carrier, or law does not offer.
Automotive Parts
Returns of automotive parts require prior authorization and depend upon the supplier’s return policy and the terms disclosed before purchase.
A part may be ineligible for return when it:
- Was specially ordered or sourced for a specific vehicle
- Is an electrical or electronic component that has been installed, programmed, opened, or used
- Has been altered, damaged, painted, modified, or fitted
- Is missing packaging, labels, accessories, or identifying information
- Was sold as used, remanufactured, clearance, or final sale under disclosed terms
- Cannot be returned to the original supplier
- Was ordered using incomplete or inaccurate information supplied by the customer
When a return is permitted, the customer may be responsible for return shipping, insurance, customs charges, supplier restocking fees, and other reasonable costs disclosed for the transaction.
Incorrect, Defective, or Damaged Parts
Customers should inspect delivered parts promptly and before installation.
If a part appears incorrect, defective, incomplete, or damaged, the customer should stop installation and contact AutoLantic as soon as reasonably possible. The customer may be asked to provide:
- The order or invoice number
- Photographs or video
- The part number and packaging
- The vehicle’s VIN or chassis number
- A description of the problem
- Evidence of shipping damage
- A technician’s diagnosis, where appropriate
The available remedy may include supplier review, replacement, repair, refund, insurance claim, or another reasonable resolution, depending on the circumstances and applicable rights.
Inspection and Verification Fees
Fees paid to independent inspectors, mechanics, dealerships, vehicle-history providers, diagnostic services, or other verification providers are generally non-refundable once the service has been performed or the provider has charged for it.
An inspection describes conditions reasonably observable within its agreed scope and at the time it is conducted. A later-discovered problem does not automatically make an inspection fee refundable.
Shipping, Export, and Delivery Costs
Payments already committed to carriers, freight forwarders, ports, warehouses, customs brokers, insurers, government agencies, or documentation providers may be non-refundable or subject to cancellation charges.
International shipping schedules are estimates and may be affected by carrier operations, port congestion, customs procedures, weather, government action, and other circumstances outside AutoLantic’s control.
If merchandise cannot be shipped within an applicable promised period, AutoLantic will communicate the available options, which may include consenting to a revised schedule or receiving any refund required by applicable law.
Customs Duties, Taxes, and Government Charges
Customs duties, import taxes, port charges, registration costs, inspection fees, and other government charges are normally paid to third parties and are not controlled by AutoLantic.
Refunds of such charges, if available, are governed by the relevant authority’s procedures and are not guaranteed by AutoLantic.
How Approved Refunds Are Issued
Approved refunds will ordinarily be returned through the original payment method when reasonably possible. Alternative arrangements may be required for international transfers, expired accounts, banking restrictions, or other practical limitations.
The amount received may differ from the original amount paid because of lawful deductions, non-refundable third-party expenses, exchange-rate movements, intermediary bank fees, or payment-processing charges.
AutoLantic will provide an explanation of material deductions made from an approved refund.
Refund Processing Time
AutoLantic will process an approved refund within the period stated in the applicable agreement or as otherwise required by law.
Banks, card issuers, payment processors, and international financial institutions may require additional time before the refund appears in the customer’s account.
Unauthorized Returns
Do not send a vehicle, part, document, or other item to AutoLantic without written return authorization and instructions.
AutoLantic is not responsible for an unauthorized return sent to an incorrect address, refused by a supplier, damaged in transit, or shipped without suitable tracking and insurance.
How to Request a Cancellation, Refund, or Return
Contact AutoLantic promptly and provide:
- Your full name and contact information
- The quotation, invoice, request, or order number
- The vehicle or part involved
- The reason for the request
- Relevant photographs, documents, or other supporting evidence
- The resolution you are requesting
AutoLantic will review the transaction, work completed, third-party commitments, applicable supplier terms, and any legal requirements before responding.
Transaction-Specific Terms
A quotation, invoice, purchase authorization, brokerage agreement, supplier policy, auction rule, shipping contract, or other transaction-specific document may contain additional cancellation, refund, or return terms.
Where a transaction-specific term conflicts with this general policy, the more specific agreed term will ordinarily govern, except where prohibited by applicable law.
